Question why did Diane Abbott deputise for Mr Corbin, why no his deputy Leader Tom Watson. And the Conservative Party have a black chairman, Asian Home Secretary (twice), Asian Chancellor and have had two female Prime Ministers. Seems to me Labour are way behind when it comes to diversity….. Why are people making a big deal out of her skin colour? Even in a positive light it still perpetuates division, and labels her as different because of it.
It’s a great thing that there’s more and more diversity but harping on about how great it is to see a “black” person in politics is patronising at best, and discriminatory at worst
She does not have a butler and she does not lounge around, laid out flat on her back in parliament while the important discussions are going on… Great to see Dianne Abbott today at the pmqs
Bearing in mind the BBC’s completely biased opinions on the Conservatives and Brexit, I’m not surprised they are trying to big up Diane Abbott….despite her being an absolute overpaid, waste of space as an shadow home secretary!
She does herself no favours boycey with the faux pas…agree with your post though….the women politicians before her have not been honourable.
